- The City of Edmonton has set October 26, 9:30 - 5:30 PM as the day for a public hearing to get public response to the proposed Food and Agriculture Strategy. This is the document that is intended to give guidance on how the farmland in Northeast Edmonton will be developed. In addition this strategy will look at other ways to strengthen our local food system and local economy.
- Please mark October 26 on your calendar and plan to come to City Hall for part or all of the day to show City Council that citizens across the city are interested in food security for themselves and future generations. It will be important that citizens be present at the table where development decisions are being made that will impact us now and in the future. More information will be forthcoming.
